A popular Japanese green tea. Unlike Chinese green teas, Sencha is steamed in order to prevent oxidation giving it a unique taste. This particular Sencha has a very smooth, sweet – yet rich and full tasting green tea. Perfect to enjoy with a meal.
Growing Region: Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan
Harvest date: 1st and 2nd harvests, 2013 (This Sencha is a blend of teas from the 1st and 2nd harvests.)
Steeping instructions: Water temperature between 80 & 90 degrees. Use 3gm of tea per 100ml and steep for 3 minutes. You can expect 1-2 infusions.
