Shan Lin Xi High Mountain Oolong tea is grown in the Shan Lin Xi Region of Taiwan at an elevation of 1600-1800 metres. This is a hand-picked premium grade full bodied tea — a favourite among many discerning tea drinkers. It has a wild, crisp aroma and a creamy, full-bodied taste with a hint of nuts. One of the best choices when it comes to sampling premium high mountain Taiwanese oolong tea.
Country of Origin: Taiwan
Growing Region: Shan Lin Xi, Nantou county
Harvest Date: Spring 2013
Packaging: 100 g packs
Preparation: Prepare using 100 degree boiled water. Use 2.5gm per 100ml and steep for 45 to 60 seconds. This tea can be infused up to 7 times. In fact, the best tea is from the second and third steepings. With each steep, increase the steeping time in increments of 15 seconds. For example, if you steep the first brew for 45 seconds, the second should steep for 60 seconds, the third for 75 seconds, etc. You may need to increase this increment for the last couple of infusions — depending on taste and providing the tea is not too light to drink.
