Silver Needle Tea is a very popular, and much in demand white tea. Hand harvested, the entire harvest is picked over a couple of days only each spring. The tea is made from the tender buds that are picked just prior to their opening. The tea itself has the buds and white hair down, with the buds being shaped by hand into small needle-like pieces. The tea is barely processed — it is merely lightly steamed and then dried naturally in the sun.
Being white tea, the health properties are very high — with lots of antioxidants and very little caffeine.
